The 22nd SENSOR+TEST measurement technology fair – which hosted 548 exhibitors on this occasion – lured 7,200 specialist visitors to the exhibition halls of Nuremberg. Despite the rail strike, SONTEC reported an increase in the number of visitors: “Even the quality of the discussions was better than in the previous years,” said SONTEC’s head of sales, Jörg Hoffmann.
SONTEC’s manager, Patrick Sonntag, seized this opportunity to talk about sensor technology and the development and manufacturing expertise of his company in many discussions. “Even major companies increasingly do not have the know-how or the manpower to advance their own developments in the field of sensor technology and automation. As a result, we’ve seen a significant increase in the number of requests and projects in this field.”
The large Plexiglas container, in which a jet cleaner was displayed as a water spectacle, was an interesting eye-catcher at the SONTEC exhibition stand. SONTEC sensors monitor these cleaning procedures in automated systems in the food industry.
The next SENSOR+TEST trade fair will take place in Nuremberg from 10 to 12 May 2016.
